Carlton Trail | Comments (2006): I would never return to this place again. The workers were rude and inconsiderate. If there was more options, they would have received less than bronze. The campsites were not level, the water was disgusting, and the bathrooms were poorly kept. This park should be forced to close. (posted: 2006) | Bronze |
Clearwater Lake | Comments (2005): this one way up north has rainbows and rocks near turtle lake.small lake one island. far trip buty well worth the work

a wonderful park, the best place for childern to play, swim and explore (posted: 2005) | Gold
Comments (2007): I love this park. The pool is nice, the non-electric campsites are very private and beautiful. (posted: 2007) | Gold
Elrose | This is our absolutely favorite provincial park. The fellow campers in the Kimball/Grieg Lakes campgrounds are wonderful people, so quiet and pleasant. The campground is well maintained and there are many services and things to do. The beach is phenomenal!!!! Playgrounds are fantastic! Dutch Treat minigolf is highly rated by our very experienced mini-golfing children. Great nature trails and places to bike. Truly a getaway from the city, very down to earth. Little Raspberry Lake is a super day trip for kids to explore the great outdoors. (posted: 2011) | Silver |
Emerald Lake | Comments (2006): (posted: 2006) | Gold |
Fishing Lake | Comments (2006): We stayed at KC beach. It was alright but the sites were too close together and the swimming area was right next to boat launch. You have the kids running around on the beach when boats are backing in the lake. It wasn’t that bad of a lake but there are better parks out there. (posted: 2006) | Silver |
Comments (2005): Fishing Lake was great. The campground was well maintained and the sites were all well divided from the other sites. Bathrooms were clean and re-stocked every day. The $10 we paid for the fire wood lasted us three nights and we even had wood left over when we put the fire out at 3:00 am. The water in the lake was surprisingly clear of algea. The locals explained that the lake was spring fed which seems to reduce the growth of algea somehow. Leslie Beach was very large, very sandy and lot’s of room. We spent most of our time at KC Beach which was nice for the kids to swim and a very short walk from our campsite. (posted: 2005) | Gold
Glenburn | the web site said 9 hole golf course but only had 3 hole’s and they wear in such bad state you couldn’t put on them. wash rooms were never cleaned and plugged, campsites not leavel and hook-up backwards. Park sign said no atv’s but there was 4 with people riding on them all the time. all in all poor and will not go back. (posted: 2011) | Bronze |
Hazlet | A favourite spot if you wish to camp beside a lake. Well kept. Nice size, protected lake with Walleye and Pike. A nice beach and easy launch for boaters. loacate some 55 kms N.N. of Prince Alberta Recommend reservations on long weekends. (posted: 2011) | Gold |

Lac Pelletier | (2004): Nice little lake, usually not to much boat traffic except on Saturdays. Campground is in need of some trees. The golf course is a fun challenge with lots of hill climbing (I recommend a cart). Great view from the 9th tee! (posted: 2004) | Silver |
Been here lots of times. The park is nice, lake is small but not too busy during the week and a fun golf course. (posted: 2015) | Gold
Lake Charron | Comments (2006): My parents had a site they rented for a couple of years. We loved going to visit them there. (posted: 2006) | Gold |
Little Loon | (posted: 2008) | Gold |
Lucien Lake | Excellent place for a family get-away. Mini-golf, concession, ball diamonds, several play structures, floating dock, driving range and nature trails make it a nice place to visit. The lake isn’t as big as others but that makes it more quiet and relaxing for you and your family, if that’s what you are looking for. Being from Saskatoon, it is nice to be able to go out to this lake in only an hour. (posted: 2010) | Gold |
This park advertises its beaches as white sand – my kids’ clothes and bodies were yellow from the hauled in sand – white sand does not stain and comes from mineral lakes; playground equipment – some is extremely dangerous and the board knows and will not destroy it; the lake has fish yes, but for swimming – would not recommend it. And if you camp there expect to pay to get out in the night if you have to. If there was a rating less than bronze this lake would get it. (posted: 2011) | Bronze
Comments (2007): paid to much for firewood the rest was great, paid to much for wood (posted: 2007) | Silver
Comments (2007): Well the lake is not huge and with to many boats it makes it hard to do much. It was not a busy lake so we did not run into that trouble. The food at the booth was great, and the staff was wonderful in 2006-07. Very clean and very kid friendly. A nice swimming area with alot of beach, and floating dock, mini-golf, ball diamonds and a nice park. A nice time for a family to go. There was no adult golf course but you could go to several different places within 20 minutes if you really had to golf. There is a driving range for kids, and a nice boat launch.Everything was reasonably priced mni golf 18 hole just redone a 1.00 a person any age. Kids can golf and have fun. Icecream was a 1.00. Homemade baking. We all enjoyed ourself. Even a big area to rent for a family get together. (posted: 2007) | Gold
Comments (2007): The lake is small, but the beach is great. Fishing ok. It gets busy if there is to many boats, but there is plently of area to fly a kite, nice ball diamonds, near town if you need to pick up anything, a new park, sandy beaches with good swimming. A small lake but very enjoyable. (posted: 2007) | Gold
This lake falsely advertises its “white sand beach” My kids had to be hosed down after playing in the gravel sand. The beach, yes it is there, but it is not a nice beach. Not worked up much. Some of the playground equipment is down right deadly. but the new one is nice. The booth offers good food. But their policy about getting out at night is terrible. Would never camp there. The water is small and too many boats leave fishermen and boaters at risk. (posted: 2009) | Bronze
Comments (2007): Excellent fishing, great family lake. (posted: 2007) | Gold
Comments (2006): It wasn’t bad but the lots are not slanted and is a one-way road and a big 29-foot cabin trailer trying to back in. It took us at least 20-25 minutes to back it in plus the park manager helping us. And cars lined up waiting to cross on the one-way road. There wasn’t much to do there sure there is a consession but that is it. Kind of BORING. Another thing there was SO MANY signs. Everywhere you look there is a sign about some rule of something. I didn’t like it that much i would never return. (posted: 2006) | Bronze

Cute cottages. The lake is wonderful!! wam and you float automaticaly, you CAN’T sink! Very salty and great for the skin. Daughter and I swam across the lake!!!!!Of course there is Danceland, with dances all summer, restaurants and stores close by, lots to do and see. My dream is to by a cabin there asap!!! Comments (2005): A great favourite. Very popular. Well treed. For years, begin and end my camping season here. Never disappointed. They never stop improving the park. Close by beach, spa, golf course, outdoor theatre, mini golf. Great for young and old. Recommend reservation on long weekends (posted: 2005) | Gold

Meeting Lake | (posted: 2006) | Bronze |
(posted: 2005) | Bronze | |
Comments (2006): Shady Bay is a commericial development and not part of Meeting Lake Regional Park. Do stop by and visit Meeting Lake Regional Park as we have playgrounds, camping, concession, minigolf, beach volley ball net, boat dock and GREAT fishing (and clean fish cleaning facilities). (posted: 2006) | Gold
Comments (2006): When I go to Meeting Lake I stay at Shady Bay. I have camped there and rented a cabin there. It is quiet and peaceful. The owners are very nice and do thier best to ensure a quiet campsite, they really enforce thier quiet times. The campground is clean and the outhouse is like the best outhouse in the world. The bathrooms are also very clean and nice always. Even the fileting shack is clean. Even though there isn’t much for walking trails there, I still prefer going to Shady bay over any other place I have been to. (posted: 2006) | Gold
Saskatchewan’s Best kept secret! The public swimming area in the Regional Park is one of the best in Saskatchewan with great sand and a nice gentle slope. The park has all the amenities of bigger parks but the feel of a great “community”. There were 2 great playgrounds, a super mini golf and lots of room to roam! (posted: 2009) | Gold
Comments (2006): We have a seasonal site at the Shady Bay campground. Alot has changed there this year. They have a brand new bathroom and shower facility, and a nice little cafe/store. It is very well kept, and there is wood there bsides torn down cabins! The only part that kinda sucks is that there is no beach area or playground for the kids. But we just pack more for them to do. And the owners are awesome, even when my kids were up at night! So obviously they have done a ton of work since the last comment about meeting lake was made!! (posted: 2006) | Gold
Memorial Lake | Comments (2007): Caution! Swimmers itch in this and surrounding lakes. Call before you go! Very disappointing to go and find out you should not go in the water. Nice looking area. (posted: 2007) | Silver |
This lake is so beautiful and clean. Awesome facilities and lovely scenery. We loved it and will definitely return. (posted: 2011) | Gold
Comments (2007): When we arrived at Memorial lake, our “reserved” site was in use by someone else. We have children and a trailer so waiting for the other family to pack up and move their trailer seemed uncalled for. We were all grumpy and hungry by the time we got set up. It was about 9pm by the time our fire was started. It was extremely busy with no privacy at our site. People, mostly children, would run right through our site while we were sitting there. There is absolutely no reason for perfect strangers to walk under someone else’s awning or for that matter walk through someone else’s sight at all. It just seemed as though there was no respect at all anywhere around us! Unfortunately we will not be returning to this campground. (posted: 2007) | Bronze
Comments (2007): THESE CAMPSITES ARE TO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER, WE HAD TO TURN OUR RADIO ON SO AS NOT TO HEAR THE OTHER CAMPSITES CONVERSATIONS. WE WOULD NEVER RETURN AND NOT RECOMMEND IT TO OTHER CAMPERS. (posted: 2007) | Bronze
Comments (2006): This is a georgeous little lake. Great camping area, playground and well equiped beach area. (posted: 2006) | Gold

I don’t kno about this one (posted: 2005) | Silver
Nickle Lake | Comments (2006): Lots of camp sites and things for the kids. Pretty good fishing. We return often. Just needs a lawn mower. (posted: 2006) | Gold |
Nipawin & District | One of the BEST in Saskatchewan, great people, fishing and clean. (posted: 2010) | Gold |
(2004): Awesome regional park. Great camping, fishing, picnic area, playground, hiking trails, petting zoo. I loved it there. (posted: 2004) |

Ogema | I will not recommend this place. Some of the campsites were flooded out due to all the snow, which is fine and to be expected. The bathrooms were unclean and the pool wasnt working. For the long weekend you’d figure to get the pool in good working order. Not very pleased. (posted: 2011) | Bronze |
Outlook & District | Comments (2005): The view is oustanding of S. Sask River and Golf Course. Clean well keep. A real gem!! (posted: 2005) | Gold |

The lots looked like they were carved out of the sand hills with a bulldozer. No beach because of the high water level. You had to pay for firewood and you got about five sticks for five dollars. Best thing was the pancake breakfast put on by the local lions club (posted: 2009) |

Comments (2006): Nice little area. Great for little kids. Creek nice. Larger RVs or Motorhomes(not bigger than 30 foot) will not fit the small bridges. (posted: 2006) | Gold
Prairie Lake | Very relaxing (posted: 2004) | Gold |
Redberry Lake | Bathrooms in desperate need of repairs. Peeling paint, water seepage, toilets that would only flush some times. They have a nice new wheelchair accessible washroom and shower but the coin op. box for the shower has NEVER worked. so it must just be for show. I will return but it is almost in spite of the park. Campsites are usually clean, and seem to be spacious, very scenic in some sites – bathrooms are older, but usually kept clean, seems to be some “jokers” around that make the occasional mess of the bathrooms, concession is wellkept and have a variety of food, prices are in line with other parks, the walking paths are very pretty and interesting, I’ve been told that the salt content in the lake makes it easier to swim and you never get any sort of itch, minigolf was my kids passion and it is quiet and safe enough to let your children bike around on their own, in comparison to other places that we have camped I would go back to Redberry (posted: 2010) | Silver
worst place I have ever been – they are unorganized – no record of reservations (only made the day before!), very run down, poor camp sites, not much to do – beach is full of duck mud….they should not have regional park status (posted: 2009) | Bronze
Sandy Beach | If you are in the Lloydminster area for camping then this is an excellent choice. Nice beach and fun golf course. (posted: 2015) | Gold |
Great park ,well looked after, small but nice lake, nice beach, will visit again (posted: 2010) | Gold
Silver Lake | Comments (2006): THE BEST LITTLE PARK AROUND.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR CAMPING AND GOLFING! (posted: 2007) | Gold |
St. Brieux | Comments (2006): Park is great but there is so much seaweed in the swimming area. The entire beach is aweful, but the rest of the park is really good. (posted: 2006) | Silver |
Comments (2006): We went on the july long/ 2005 and the swim area was terrible so much seaweed. Not bad. (posted: 2006) | Silver
Comments (2006): It is very nice and clean. The showers/washrooms were clean. Very close to the town. It is a great park and love to return (posted: 2006) | Gold

Nice clean ,smaller, well run park. Some of the sites not for bigger R.V’s but a reasonable selection. Usally good fishing. Lake water can get bad in August.Reservations should be considered on most summer weekends, but staff really try to acomidate your requests. Price geting a bit high($26)plus loonie showers, but firewood is included in price. Has most ammenities of a small provincial park! (posted: 2012) |

Comments (2007): Rosthern Valley regional park has the absolute best maintained grounds, facilities and golf course I’ve ever seen from any regional park i’ve visited. and the list is long. (posted: 2007) | Gold
Wakaw Lake | Comments (2005): booze, boats, polution (posted: 2005) | Bronze |
Comments (2005): Quite impressed. Good services, excellent golf course, very beautiful lake. Real down-to-earth, friendly people. Try it – you won’t be sorry. (posted: 2006) | Gold
Comments (2006): Busiest and Worst Lake I’ve ever been too. Fishing was poor. Too many young teenagers causing trouble. (posted: 2006) | Bronze
(2004): Its the BEST lake I’ve been to.. nice beach nice everything!! (posted: 2004) | Gold
Waldsea Lake | Waldsea Lake Regional park was closed to the public in 2007 due to flooding. The plan to reopen in 2011 never happened as the park is no longer there. The lake has been flooded out and the Regional Park has closed it, forever. There are no longer cabins, camping or any other provisions. (posted: 2011) | Gold |
Comments (2007): Run down. Mini-golf was actually dangerous and children should not be allowed near it. Playground equipment in equally bad shape. I would not recommend this regional park to anyone. (posted: 2007) | Bronze
Although the park was closed in 2007 for flooding, the park has come a long way. The beach is being restored to it’s white sand, the grounds are looking great. And yes, the mini golf is gone. It was tired and needed to be gone. Even though there are no services out there this year (2009) for visitors, it was truly nice to see people enjoying it nonetheless. The camping spots are huge and easy to get into. Very very large group camping area and a hall to rent. I would definately recommend people go there and experience the mineral lake. (posted: 2009) | Gold
Wood Mountain | Very nice park, well kept and the owner was very nice to us. However, the campsites are really close to each other and not very much room. I will definately give it another try next time. (posted: 2011) | Gold |
It was fun. (posted: 2004) | Silver
