Fishing Photo Contest

First time sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River. Sturgeon was 8 feet 3 inches in length, weighed over 300+ lbs and took over two hours to land.

Caught at Tobin Lake using a jig head and leach. My line was frayed at the end of the head shaking fight, almost got snapped off.

2nd Walleye of the year

The first of 13 rainbows I caught in about 45 minutes this morning.

Beautiful 80cm Walleye caught at Tobin Lake, Sask on a cold rainy day in June. This walleye was a monster.

Late season ice fishing

Caught this first rainbow of the year on a bead headed nymph, plus caught a few more. It's not worth making a meal out of but it's more than the guys with the cheese chucker rods caught.

Caught about 20 or more little rainbows today, first day of summer.

Not a huge fish but caught 27 rainbow trout in two hours on the amazing Super Jumbo Mosquito fly.

A nice colored little walleye from Blackstrap Lake. Caught a bigger one, about 4 pounds, earlier but no picture.

A nice walleye. Fishing with jig heads, what else! This one probably made it into the shore lunch.

So it might take all 25 perch I caught this morning off my dock to add up a walleye, but they sure are fun on a 4 weight fly rod.
