Our Favorite Places------------ Location: reddeer - AlbertaComments: it is a very fun fish |
------------ Location: Bonnyville - AlbertaComments: Manatokan Lake; Lake is shallow Eutrophic and produces excellent perch fishing. Maximum depth is 28 feet. Many suckers and very rarely pike present. Public boat launch and dock present. Typically is better for hard water fishing. Great place to take your kids. It isn't uncommon to catch fish after fish however perch over nine inches are harder to find and typically bite in early morning or closer to night fall. During early winter perch bite can be slow at times, fishing is typically best February to July. Recomended by: levikalinsky@live.ca |
------------ Location: Brereton Lake - ManitobaComments: In Whiteshell Provincial Park....lot's of 'em and good sizes too. Nice park with amenities galore |
------------ Location: Barns Dam - near Weyburn (close to Nickel Lake) - SaskatchewanComments: Use worms and a pickerel rig, and you will catch thousands of perch about 10 feet from shore. They range in size from tiny to about a pound, but if you like consistant perch catching, it can't be beat. Recomended by: tylerwanner@hotmail.com |
------------ Location: Enchant - AlbertaComments: The Enchant Park pond is my favorite place to fish for perch is simply because it is overloaded with them. There are quite a few that are a little small, but otherwise they are of a relatively decent size. Fishing from either shore or boat both seem to be very productive. ------------ Location: Katepwa - SaskatchewanComments: Near most overhangs or submerged structures, you can find a steady supply of Perch at Katepwa. Worms work well but try some raw liver. You'll have your limit in an hour! |
